1. It’s day 7 of my no TV challenge, and I have proven once and for all that watching TV is not the cause of my insomnia. I go to bed at midnight and still end up tossing and turning until around 3-4am sans the idiot tube. It’s a habit I’m keeping though; the great thing about not watching TV is that I can read more books! A kind, generous and gorgeous neighbor lent me a paper bag full of paperbacks. This week, I’m reading The Good and Beautiful Life by James Smith in tiny increments and have finished reading Time Traveller’s Wife (yeah, super late) and Gods in Alabama. Oh joy!
2. Stepping on the weighing scale at the office was a slap to my complacency about having a normal BMI. My weekly jog/brisk walking has now leveled up from 6 rounds of the ULTRA track to 8 in an hour.
3. We have been enjoying affordable and yummy home-cooked meals the past few weeks, thanks to my officemate’s mom. More to come!
