1. We catch a glimpse of Ayala Triangle’s famed dancing lights, but date #1 was all about the sushi. Omakase‘s TOP Platter finally helped me get over my monthlong maki craving.
Date #2 was the real double date with Darlene and Jasper at Kanzhu Hand-Pulled Noodles, a feast-til-you-burst Chinese restaurant along Marcos Highway. Aside from the generous servings of beefy tendon soupy goodness, it was fascinating to watch a waiter pulling and twisting a ball of dough into thin strips. And I learned that you don’t need a knife to make yummy noodles.
2. My impromptu shopping haul included two jogging pants and a very nice dress. The means and the end. =)
I am also re-reading my Ian Val ‘s New Year’s gift. Yes, yes, yes, and yes. =)
3. My low pain threshold was easily overwhelmed by a simple facial session, aka sharp, pointy objects on my tender, spotty skin. Good thing the lady handling said weapons was very chatty. I really hope it was worth it.
4. In the middle of the holiday feasting season, my Ian tells me that I have an hourglass figure. He really knows how and when to give sincere compliments.
