1. I finally managed to squeeze in a reunion with my friends from elementary to high school. We chatter about old classmates, former teachers, husbands (theirs, hehe), Grade VII-Honesty, jobs, and decades-old memories over plates of food and with very cute toddlers underfoot. I revert to my quiet, bookworm self and just listen to a group of very opinionated ladies. It’s amazing how different we’ve become, and gratifying to see that some things stayed the same.
2. Ivy takes us all home when we realize that two hours are not enough to catch up on a decade’s worth of stories. I now have a better idea of our dream house. Entertainment/gaming center/visitor’s room on the roof, definitely. I can almost see bookshelves lining the walls, a gaming table and a videoke machine in the corner.
3. I conk out and sleep for ten hours straight. A long weekend well spent.
