1. I liked the lemony scent of Cel’s hand sanitizer, and she promised to give me a brochure for Human Nature. I also suggested a retractable brush that she can use with her new make-up. On the ride home to Makati, we continue chatting about girl stuff: beauty tips, long commutes and condominium units.
2. Instead of June 12, our company moved our holiday to June 18, Monday to make it a long weekend. None of my original plans for this day happened: a dress fitting cancelled at the last minute, my friend got sick, and I got intimidated by the thought of three sleepovers in a row. Instead, I was able to catch up on sleep, do laundry, clean my pad, read, and have a short but timely chat with a domesticated ninja.
3. I dive into our textbook on Cognitive Psychology and was pleasantly surprised by the author’s dedication:
“To Wayne, who taught me to laugh and love again.”
Sometimes, I think about writing a book just so I can dedicate it to my Ian.
Oh wait. I can do that in my thesis.
