I wanna hold your hand

I witnessed three beautiful things this weekend:

1. Wrinkles. The Silang trip was planned, but nothing went according to plan. Thankfully, I got an enforced opportunity to slow down and relax. Surprisingly, I wasn’t bored for a single second; must be the company. ♥ ♥ ♥ And I was reminded that being is just as important as doing, and knowing when to rest is part of growing deep.

2.  Pointing out the obvious: There is method to my madness and I have some sort of direction after all. If the cons outweigh the pros, then don’t do it. God’s timing is perfect. Discipline ends when you’ve learned the needed lesson. And the amused glance during the worship service when the pastor said (natamaan ako)  “What you see is… not yet.”

3. A rainbow at night. How? Reflected sunlight from the full moon refracted by clouds. Wow!

And yes, stargazing is infinitely better with someone to hold your hand. ♥

Oh yeah, I’ll tell you something,
I think you’ll understand.
When I say that something
I wanna hold your hand,
I wanna hold your hand,
I wanna hold your hand.

Oh please, say to me
You’ll let me be your man
And please, say to me
You’ll let me hold your hand.
Now let me hold your hand,
I want to hold your hand.

And when I touch you I feel happy inside.
It’s such a feeling that my love
I can’t hide, I can’t hide, I can’t hide….

Yeah, you’ve got that something,
I think you’ll understand.
When I feel that something
I wanna hold your hand,
I wanna hold your hand,
I wanna hold your hand,
I wanna hold your hand.

When someone like you

Sorry this is not the press conference blog. Not yet. I just wanted to share my song of the month.

For you, dearest. =)

I peer through windows,
Watch life go by,
Dream of tomorrow,
And wonder “why”?

The past is holding me,
Keeping life at bay,
I wander lost in yesterday,
Wanting to fly -
But scared to try.

But if someone like you
Found someone like me,
Then suddenly
Nothing would ever be the same!

My heart would take wing,
And I’d feel so alive -
If someone like you
Found me!

So many secrets
I’ve longed to share
All I have needed
Is someone there,

To help me see a world
I’ve never seen before -
A love to open every door,
To set me free,
So I can soar!

If someone like you
Found someone like me,
Then suddenly
Nothing would ever be the same!

There’d be a new way to live,
A new life to love,
If someone like you
Found me!

Oh, if someone like you
Found someone like me,
Then suddenly
Nothing would ever be the same!

My heart would take wing,
And I’d feel so alive -
If someone like you
Loved me…
Loved me…
Loved me.

(Someone Like You, from Jekyll and Hyde musical)

My heart sings

Your eyes are full
Full of the future of us
The air changes as you look across
At me in that wondering way

It is as if
I knew you before we spoke
Do our hearts know something we don’t?

Conspiring, converging without giving us any say

You, sing me to sleep
Talk down my walls
Look through my windows as I wait
You could be the thief
I give the key to

You’re ruining me
With secrets and gestures and looks
With sonnets from second-hand books
Playing the chords in me nobody knew how to play

It fits in your hand like water in rain
It unlocks our two different selves
And shows we are the same
Rather than wait `til I put me out for the taking
You’re breaking
You’re breaking
You’re breaking into my heart

And I’m letting you…

Your eyes are full
Full of the future of us
